## TRUCKLOAD OF BOOKS

Every Fall, Michigan Construction celebrates reading by giving away 90+ "TRUCKLOADS" of elementary-level construction books to deserving teachers. The contest opens in September each year.

Each winner will receive 12-15 books in a Tonka-sized truck for their classroom libraries!

Winners will also have the opportunity to schedule a CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY Professional to deliver their truckload and be guest readers.

## MICHIGAN CONSTRUCTION CAREER DAYS (MICCD)

Since 2008, MI Construction Career Days has been Michigan’s premiere construction career exploration event. Based on the National Career Day model, MICCD provides Michigan’s young people a chance to experience construction up close, getting the chance to use real tools, materials, and heavy equipment under the direct guidance of construction professionals from all sectors of the industry.

Young people will not only see what construction is but learn of the training and education paths to secure the good-paying jobs a career in construction provides.
