Construction Careers: Bricklayer / Restoration Worker

As a bricklayer you will construct buildings and structures brick by brick until you have a finished product. You will work with bricks, cement, and other materials to take simple small products to create a masterpiece that will withstand time and the elements. 



Graduating from high school and completing additional training programs will help you begin a career as a bricklayer or restoration worker.


A high school diploma or G.E.D is required for most positions. Additional training programs are required and paid apprenticeship programs are approximately 4 years long. There are many programs designed to prepare you to become a master in your field.



Bricklayers and restoration workers make between $45,000 and $60,000 annually.
